Here at Kent Adult Education we appreciate that your time is just as precious as well as your money. That’s why before the start of every academic year we hold an array of Open Days across the county to help you decide which KAE course is right for you.
More and more we are running out of ‘me time’ and it’s important that when you make a stand to get some back that you fill it with the perfect distraction. Rather than make you feel pressured into enrolling on a 10 week course without knowing what it will even be about, we give you the opportunity to come along for an hour or so and try your hand at some of the fantastic variety of courses we have to offer. The best thing is that most of our tasters are completely free and the most we ever charge is £5 (usually for materials).
Last week saw our main week of Open Days across the county at our Adult Education Centres. With tasters in subjects such as public speaking, watercolour, woodwork and jewellery making to language tasters and fitness classes there really was something for everyone.
Despite many peoples preconceptions of adult education there is always a wide range of ages, abilities and backgrounds at our courses and our Open Days are no exception. From a 20 year old at our Try Italian to women in their 70’s undertaking our fitness classes we have something to offer for everyone.

We really enjoyed travelling around the county to meet those of you who took part in our Open Days and various tasters and loved seeing the array of skills and teaching styles of our tutors as well.
Below is a link to view just a selection of some of the images taken on our Open Days. We hope they whet your appetite and encourage you to take a look at the 4,000 courses we have on offer this academic year.Back to the Magazine
